One Desire
2008-10-05 14:51October 3, Day 35–The Word–
"This is the covenant I will make . . . I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts" (Ezekiel 36:27).
Thoughts
"May he give you the desire of your heart," the psalmist prayed in Psalm 20:4. He did not say "desires."
Those who have God's law in their heart can say, "I have one deep supreme desire. My one desire is to please God continually."
Having His law in our hearts doesn't mean we don't want to have others think well of us-but when faced with a choice, we choose to respond to the desire to please God.
When our deepest desire is to give God glory, our fleshly ambition for personal recognition and prominence is no longer our strongest motivation. God looks down and sees an attitude within us that says, "God, as long as You are glorified, it is unimportant whether others notice me or if another is promoted instead of me." God is pleased to live in such a dwelling.
With His law in our hearts we are free to live only for His glory!

Pray that all women attending will give God access to their hearts, so He can show them if they have any hindrance to His indwelling.
